The unplug test

Why this tier: The manufacturer's own product page describes a fully standalone automatic coop door: battery, solar, or 9V DC power, controlled entirely through buttons and a display on the unit itself, with a programmable timer or dawn/dusk light sensor. No app, WiFi, or Bluetooth is mentioned anywhere in the product page or FAQ, and no FCC grant for a radio was found under the brand name. It contains no intentional radiator.

Open questions
- FCC search for 'ChickenGuard' returned no genuine matching grant (one unrelated 1982 grant surfaced under a coincidentally similar grantee code). No sibling Wi-Fi ChickenGuard product exists to use as a control, so the absence is weak evidence on its own — it is corroborated here mainly by the manufacturer's own spec page rather than by the FCC heuristic.
- Confirm current US retail stock across colors — several color variants show out of stock directly on chickenguard.com; only gray was confirmed in stock at time of check. Worth re-checking closer to publish.
