Self-hostable
These devices ship with a vendor cloud, so they are not D0 or D1 — but everything that cloud does can be replaced by software running on hardware you own. Block them at the firewall and you lose nothing you cannot rebuild yourself.
We keep this separate from the tier on purpose. Whether you can firewall a device is a fact about the product; whether you have is a fact about your network, and the tier should mean the same thing for every reader. This page is where the difference lives.
