The unplug test
It just shows whatever is plugged into it. This monitor has no operating system, no smart platform, no camera, and no network interface of its own — the on-screen menu is navigated with a physical joystick and every setting lives in the monitor's own memory. 'Dell Display and Peripheral Manager' software and 'remote asset management' mentioned in Dell's materials run on the connected PC and reach the monitor over the same USB or video cable already plugged in, not over a network connection the monitor itself makes.
Why this tier: The manufacturer's own datasheet gives a full port diagram and connectivity table: HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, VGA, USB 3.2 Type-B upstream, three USB 3.2 Type-A downstream, and one USB-C downstream (data/power only). No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, camera, or microphone appears anywhere in the specification. It is a passive display panel that only shows whatever is fed to it over a video cable. The datasheet's 'Remote Asset Management: Yes' line is now resolved and does not disturb the D0: Dell's own DDPM documentation states 'DDPM requires DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command Interface) to communicate with your monitor' — DDC/CI is a sideband channel on the video cable itself, not a network. Where a cloud appears in this feature it is the host PC talking to Dell's management console; the firewall rules Dell publishes for it are rules for the PC. The monitor has no network path of its own to permit or block. 'Remote' here describes an IT admin managing the computer, not the display reaching anyone.
