The unplug test
Nothing changes, because there is nothing to unplug from. The camera and the handheld parent monitor form a direct 2.4 GHz link to each other, not to your router — there is no home Wi-Fi pairing step at all. You get local video and two-way talk on the 5-inch screen with a claimed range up to 1,000 feet. What you permanently do not get, with or without internet, is viewing from outside the house: this model has no app and no remote access, which some buyers consider the whole point and others consider the dealbreaker.
Why this tier: The FCC grant for the parent/camera pair covers only 2410-2477 MHz under Part 15.247 as a spread-spectrum (FHSS) point-to-point transmitter, not an 802.11 Wi-Fi module (tagged proprietary_24ghz), and the vendor operates no cloud service for the product at all — there is no app, no account, and no remote-viewing feature to be optional. The camera and 5-inch parent monitor talk directly to each other on a closed link the owner holds both ends of.
