Laundry & Cleaning / garment steamer

Jiffy Steamer J-2000

D0 No Radio — No radio at all. It cannot phone home.

The unplug test

Nothing changes. Fill the tank, plug the unit into a wall outlet, and flip it on; steam flows continuously through the hose until you turn it off. There is no temperature dial, no app, and no account anywhere in the design — a Jiffy Steamer from decades ago works the same way as one bought today.

Why this tier: Manufacturer's own product page describes a floor-standing steamer built around a 1300W brass heating element, a 3/4-gallon water tank, and a hose to a steam head — the page explicitly notes there is 'no need for a temperature setting like on an iron,' i.e. the only control is on/off. No WiFi, Bluetooth, app, or connectivity feature is mentioned. No FCC grantee record exists for Jiffy Steamer at all, consistent with a manufacturer whose entire product line (garment steamers essentially unchanged since the 1940s) has never included a radio.
