The unplug test
This is six outlets and a cord with a breaker and a light-up switch in between. It has no logic board and nothing that could be described as 'smart' even loosely, so there is nothing for the internet going away to affect. It will do exactly the same thing the day your router dies as it did the day you bought it.
Why this tier: A plain 6-outlet power strip: a lighted mechanical on/off switch, a 15A resettable circuit breaker, and a 15-foot cord. The manufacturer's own datasheet lists every component and feature on the unit, and unlike Tripp Lite's own Isobar surge-protector line, this model has no suppression electronics of any kind, let alone a radio or app.
